SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – Jimmy Yezzo homered and Bryan Haar had a two-out, three-run double for Washington in a four-run fifth inning that helped the Wild Things to a 6-4 win Friday night over the Schaumburg Boomers in a Frontier League game.

Washington (7-5) trailed 4-0 before the big fifth inning, thanks to a four-run first inning for Schaumburg (3-10) that included a two-run homer by Shawn Payne.

A Ricky Rodriguez homer in the sixth gave Washington the lead for good, while an RBI double by Haar in the seventh gave the Wild Things and important insurance run.

Matt Fraudlin settled down after the rough first inning to shut Schaumburg down over the next five to raise his record to 2-0. Zac Grotz pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn his second save.
