Wild Things routed by Schaumburg
A four-run second inning, highlighted by Ino Patron’s three-run home run, propelled Schaumburg to a 11-3 victory over the Washington Wild Things Sunday night.
Jimmy Yezzo and Grant Fink each drove in a run in the top of the second to give Washington a 2-0 lead. But Schaumburg had the four-run second, and scored a run in the fifth, sixth and seventh and four in the eighth in a 15-hit attack.
Tyler Garkow gave up five runs in 4 2/3 innings to take the loss. Austin Wobrock scored on a fielder’s choice in the third to cut the Schaumburg lead to 4-3.
