Glenn leads California to rout of West Liberty

ERIE – Mikki Glenn scored 19 of her game-high 23 points in the first half as California routed West Liberty, 92-50, at the Mercyhurst Conference Challenge in a women’s basketball game Saturday.

Glenn helped the Vulcans (2-0) to a 21-4 advantage after one quarter and a 49-22 adantage at the half with her scoring output.

Seairra Barrett added 17 points, while four other players have nine each, Shatara Parsons, Precious Martin, Brittany Nelson and Abbey Sporio.

West Liberty (0-2), which turned the ball over 42 times, failed to have a player score over eight points.

The Hilltoppers shot 37 percent, making 18 of 48 shots, while California connected on 33 of 65 field goal attempts.
