PITTSBURGH – Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger came out of the Steelers’ 30-15 loss at Miami with a meniscus injury in his left knee that required surgery and will keep him out of action Sunday.

But it’s what happened to Roethlisberger’s right knee that has the Steelers angry.

According to a source, the Steelers filed a formal complaint regarding the actions of defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and what Pittsburgh believes was an intentional kick to Roethlisberger’s right knee.

Video of the play, which occurred in the fourth quarter, shows Suh locked up with Steelers guard David DeCastro. As Decastro works Suh away from Roethlisberger, Suh’s right leg kicks into the air and strikes Roethlisberger’s right knee.

Suh has previously been suspended by the league for stomping on opponents.
