West Greene falls to Western Beaver; Jackson goes over 1,000

WAYNESBURG – Jeddy Young rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries as Western Beaver defeated West Greene, 33-14, in a non-conference high school football game Friday night played at Waynesburg High School because of flooding in Rogersville.

Brett Zailey added two rushing touchdowns, while Rven Chandler and Lou Hapach also scored for Western Beaver (3-5).

Ben Jackson scored both touchdowns for West Greene (3-6), one rushing and one receiving. Jackson, a freshman, rushed for 149 yards on 26 carries, giving him 1,091 for the season.
