McDONALD – Ryhan Culberson threw three touchdown passes, including two in the fourth quarter to Scott Miller, to help Fort Cherry to a 26-20 win over California in a Tri-County South Conference game Friday night at Jim Garry Stadium.

Culberson, a late transfer from South Fayette, where he played tight end, split time with Brady Whalen at quarterback for the Ranges (1-0, 1-0). Both had success, as Culberson completed 7 of 11 passes for 125 yards and three touchdowns, while also running for a score, and Whalen was 6 of 9 for 98 yards.

Miller caught four passes for 111 yards and the two touchdowns, the last of which came with 1:03 remaining in the fourth quarter to break a 20-20 tie.

Tyler Rothfuss had an 89-yard kick return for a score, Austin Grillo an 8-yard TD run and Jelani Stafford a 1-yard scoring run for California (0-1, 1-1).
