Charleroi scores 27 unanswered points in win over Southmoreland
ALVERTON – Brayden Mihalcin had 13 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown as Charleroi scored 27 unanswered points to defeat Southmoreland, 41-14, in a non-conference high school football game Friday night.
Ronnie Robinson had 27 carries for 122 yards and a pair of first half TDs for Southmoreland (0-1, 0-2), but Dakota Romantino’s 66-yard kick return for a score after the first kept the Cougars (0-1, 2-1) within striking distance as did a 12-yard scoring run by Hunter Perry.
Mihalcin, Geno Pellegrini and Mike Obitsko had touchdown runs and Dom Santini scored on a fumble recovery after Robinson’s second score to put the game away.
