Lions roar past Ambridge
AMBRIDGE – Geavonie Love ran for a pair of first quarter touchdowns as South Fayette jumped out to a 35-0 lead in the first 12 minutes and cruised to a 38-0 Northwest Nine Conference high school football Friday night win over Ambridge.
Drew Saxton completed 9 of 12 passes for 97 yards, playing just the first quarter for the Lions (2-0, 3-0).
Luke Meindl had a 38-yard punt return and Joe Mowod and Johnny Beck also had touchdown run for South Fayette, which also got an interception from freshman Collin Whilhelm.
Ambridge is 0-2 in conference and 0-2 overall.
