Mapletown, Rush slip past West Greene
ROGERSVILLE – Mapletown got another big game out of the WPIAL’s leading rusher, Dylan Rush, as the Maples held off West Greene, 15-6, in a Tri-County South Conference high school football game Friday night.
Rush carried 41 times for 221 yards in a game that was delayed for a half an hour in the second quarter because of lightning. He scored on runs for 1 and 71 yards for the Maples (1-0, 2-1).
Caleb Reynolds recorded an interception for Mapletown.
Ben Jackson ad 20 carries for 171 yards and a touchdown for West Greene (0-2, 0-3).
