Boys soccer: Sevoski scores 2 as Bentworth tops Beth-Center
Wyatt Sevoski scored two goals and Bentworth defeated Beth-Center 4-1 in a Section 4-A match Thursday night.
The win keeps Bentworth (5-1-1, 7-2-1) in second place in the section. The Bearcats forged a 2-0 lead at halftime. Brian Hustava and Levbi Jordan each had a goal for Bentworth and goalkeeper Will Bashioum made four saves.
Beth-Center is 3-4 in section and 3-5-1 overall. Nick Frost scored for the Bulldogs.
N Dustin Mock had a hat trick for the second consecutive game and California defeated visiting Monessen 5-3 in Section 4-A.
In addition to Mock’s three goals, Adam Adams scored twice for California (2-5, 2-6), which won its second in a row.
Monessen fell to 1-6, 2-6.
• Jeremy Zura and Ruthzik Panda scored goals as South Fayette edged Chartiers Valley, 2-1, in a Section 4-AAA match.
Tim Locher had seven saves for the Lions (3-2, 4-4-1), who moved into a tie for third place in the section with Char Valley (3-2, 5-4).
