Southmoreland handles Waynesburg for first victory
ALVERTON – Soutmoreland scored the game’s first 23 points and crusied to a 23-15 win over Waynesburg in the Interstate Conference Friday night at Russ Grimm Stadium.
Ronnie Robinson had touchdown runs of five and 39 yards for Southmoreland (1-2, 1-4), which led 10-0 at halftime. Jaden Datz scored on a one-yard plunge early int he fourth quarter to make it 23-0.
Waynesburg (0-5, 0-5) scored on a 25-yard pass from Dylan Scritchfield to Jacob McCallum in the fourth quarter and a four-yard run by Colin McCracken. Scritchfield tacked on a two-point conversion run following McCracken’s score.
