High School Baseball: Bethel Park hands PT first loss
McMURRAY – Sean McGowan’s one-out single scored Kevin Kogler in the top of the 11th inning to help Bethel Park complete a come-from-behind win over Peters Township Saturday in a Section 3-6A high school baseball game Saturday.
Bethel Park (2-0, 5-1) trailed 5-2 entering the seventh inning but scored three runs, two of which came on a home run by Ben Barnot.
Brian Livolsi doubled, while Regan Lawlor took the loss for the Indians (2-1, 7-1), who were shut out over the game’s final six innings.
• Johnny DeFranco had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs, while Nathaniel Luketich also had two hits, including a double, and drove in four, as California defeated Burgettstown, 12-2, in a five-inning Section 1-AA high school baseball game.
Enzo Marisciotti and Jacob Swartz also had two hits each for the Trojans (3-0, 5-1).
Blaine John took the loss for Burgettstown (0-3, 1-4).
