The Wild Things added a key member to their pitching staff for the 2017 season when they re-signed right-hander Trevor Foss, the team announced over the weekend.

Foss spent much of last season in Washington and posted an 8-3 record with one save and a 2.50 ERA in 100 2/3 innings before his contract was purchased Aug. 3 by the Cleveland Indians organization. Foss was well on his way to setting the Frontier League record for complete games as he had eight in 14 starts. The league record is nine complete games. He also was selected to play in the Frontier League All-Star Game.

Foss was assigned to the Indians’ Lake County affiliate in the Class A Midwest League and went 3-3 with a 4.46 ERA in seven starts. After the season, Foss chose to become a free agent and played last winter for the Sydney Blue Sox of the Australian Baseball League.
