B-C remains unbeaten in section
Beth-Center won the first seven weight classes and dominated from start to finish for an impressive 52-12 victory over visiting Bentworth Wednesday night in Class AA Section 2-A.
The victory keeps the Bulldogs undefeated in section competition.
Tim Welsh (138), Jacon Housel (145), Maverick Sullenberger (152) and J.J. Barish (160) got B-C off to a fast start as each won by fall to give the Bulldogs a 24-0 lead. David Headlee (heavyweight) and Todd Fisher (138) also had pins for B-C.
Waynesburg 46, Mt. Lebanon 22: Waynesburg twice put together consecutive pins and rode that momentum for a 46-22 victory at Mt. Lebanon in a Class AAA Section 4-A match.
Colin McCracken (195) and Connor Main (220) had back-to-back falls in the upper weights and Colby Morris (138) and Trey Howard (145) had pins to secure the victory. Challen Spitznogle (170) also won by fall for the Raiders.
McGuffey 75, West Greene 0: Nine forfeits helped McGuffey roll to a 75-0 victory over West Greene in a Section 2-A match in Class AA.
Mason Burgdolt (145) and Christian CLutter (160) had pins for the Highlanders (3-0, 8-1).
West Greene fell to 0-4 overall and in section.
Mapletown 45, Jefferson-Morgan 30: Mapletown used four pins and three forfeits to get past Jefferson-Morgan, 45-30, in a Section 2-A match in Class AA.
Caleb Reynolds (126), Kevin Hayes (152), Brandon Smotzer (170) and Tanner Weston (Hvy) had pins for the Maples (2-2, 2-2).
Mason Palmer (120), Gavin Teasdale (138), Aaron Mylan (145) and Lou Hunyada (220) won by fall for the Rockets (0-3, 0-4). Teasdale is three woms shy of 100 for his career.
Trinity 46, Chartiers Valley 27: Trinity won four bouts through the middle to secure a 46-27 victory over Chartiers Valley in a Section 4-A match in Class AAA.
Hunter Hickle (103), Kyle Gonzales (120), Cole Whitmer (145) and Jared Rice (182)won by fall for the Hillers (3-1, 4-1).
Zach Macy (113), Shamil Zaynullaev (220) and Dan McGeough (Hvy) had pins fr the Colts, who are 1-2 in the section.
Canon-McMillan 74, Central Catholic 0: Canon-McMillan assured a least a tie for first place in Section 4-A in Class AAA with a 74-0 shutout of Central Catholic.
The Big Macs can clinch the subsection title with a win over Trinity Wednesday.
Ken Hayman (113), Skyler Adams (145), Stefen Richer (152), Blaze Kansco (170), Bryan Milligan (182), Zach Rohaley (220) and Brendan Furman (Hvy) had pins for the Big Macs (3-0, 4-1).
Central Catholic fel to 0-4.
Peters Township 71, McKeesport 9: Peters Township won all but two bouts ot take a 71-9 win over McKeesport.
Will Kail (113), Coltin Jezioro (132), Brandon Mathews (138), Luke Mary (152), Jacob Hurley (160), Shane Clark (195) had pins for PT.
Chartiers-Houston 64, Washington 6: Six forfeits and five pins helped Chartiers-Houston to a 64-6 win over Washington.
Josh Kuslock (138), Matt Cimino (160), RJ Hall (170), Nick Kalafatis (182) and T.J. Johnston (22) had pins for the Bucs. Malik Mitchell (195) had a pin for Wash High.
South Fayette 69, Keystone Oaks 9: South Fayette downed Keystone Oaks 69-9 in a dual meet.
Matt broyles (106), Colin Dunn (113), Mike Cusick (145), Cam Hoover (145), Joe Bastoroli (170), Mark Kurchena (195) and Jake Walker (220) had pins for the Lions.
