Knetzer scores 30 in Jackets’ win
PITTSBURGH – Addy Knetzer led five Waynesburg players in double figures with 30 points as the Yellow Jackets defeated Moravian 94-77 Friday night in the quarterfinals of the ECAC women’s basketball tournament at Carnegie Mellon University.
Waynesburg (18-11) advances to semifinals and will play Springfield (Mass.) today at 6 p.m.
Knetzer made 12 of 17 shots and grabbed 10 rebounds for Waynesburg, which led 45-36 at halftime. Monica Starre and Katie Gehlmann each scored 13 points, Kassidy O’Keefe had 12 and Haley Delaney 10.
Camille McPherson led Moravian (20-8) with 27 points.
