PT wins state ice hockey title
Peters Township High School’s hockey team won the Pennsylvania Cup Class 3-A championship at Robert Morris University Island Sports Center Saturday night.
The Indians downed Holy Ghost Prep, 2-1. Will Barnes scored the game-winner with 3:26 to play.
PT finished with a 14-8-2 record. Ryan Luppe gave PT a 1-0 lead 8:05 into the first period. Byron Hartley tied it in the third period.
