Collins, Rochester run down West Greene
ROCHESTER -Caleb Collins ran for three touchdowns and Rochester cruised to a 39-14 victory over visiting West Greene in a Class A first-round game Friday night.

The contest was the first playoff game for West Greene (7-4) since 1993.
Rochester (8-2) forged leads of 24-8 at halftime and 32-8 after three quarters.
Collins scored on a two-yard run and Elijah Goosby caught a scoring pass from Mahlik Strozier to help Rochester build a 16-0 lead in the second quarter. The Rams converted two-point conversion after each of their first three touchdowns.
After West Greene intercepted a Rochester pass at the goal line, Pioneers quarterback Zach Pettit broke free for an 80-yard touchdown run that cut Rochester’s lead to 16-8 after a successful two-point conversion. Pettit finished with 118 rushing yards on 14 carries.
Two Collins touchdown runs – one with 39 seconds left in the first half – enabled Rochester to pull away, and Strozier scored on a 12-yard scamper to make it 39-8.
West Greene capped the scoring when Gavin Scott completed a six-yard TD pass to Nathan Brudnock with 5:13 remaining.
