Michael Keir passed for 350 yards and California University scored 17 points off turnovers for a 31-14 win at East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon to close the regular season.
The Vulcans extended its winning streak to five games and are 9-2. They entered the weekend ranked ninth in the latest NCAA Super Region One rankings with the selection show for the NCAA Playoffs scheduled for 5 p.m. today.
The Warriors finish the year with a 3-8 mark.
Keir’s two TD passes helped the Vulcans build a 21-7 halftime lead. Keir moved past Peter Lalich (2011-12) for fifth place in school history with 6,357 passing yards. He joins James Harris (2013-15) as the only players with multiple 3,000-yard seasons. Keir also became one of only three quarterbacks in school history with 60 career touchdown passes.
Senior wide receiver Luke Smorey had his second straight 100-yard game and fourth of the year, leading the team with 119 receiving yards. He tied his career high of 10 receptions.
Tom Greene had 4 receptions for 65 yards on four catches to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for the season.
Jalen Bell capped a 13-play drive with a four-yard touchdown run to makke it 7-0. The Vulcans stretched the lead to 14-0 on a 1-yard pass by Keir to freshman tight end Jack Vyborny with 2:14 remaining in the quarter.

An interception by junior defensive back Chad Garnett set up a 29-yard field goal by Will Brazill. The Vulcans stopped the Warriors on a third-and-goal early in the fourth when senior linebacker Cameron Tarver recovered a fumble in the end zone.
Junior Jimmy Wheeler broke off a 14-yard touchdown run with 6:10 left to play to make it 31-7.
