Wash High runs record to 7-0 with 54-14 victory

Nick Welsh scored on three of his five carries and rushed for 135 yards to help Washington roll to a 54-14 victory over Chartiers-Houston in a Century Conference game Friday night at Wash High Stadium.

Welsh scored on runs of 34, 50 and 24 yards for Wash High (5-0, 7-0). Daniel Walker caught 5 passes for 119 yards and two TD and Zack Swartz completed 7 of 9 passes for 143 yards and three TDs, one to Isaiah Schoonmaker and two to Walker.

The Bucs fell to 0-6 and 0-8.

Washington plays a key conference game Friday night at Burgettstown.
