CALIFORNIA – Quarterback Colin Phillips ran for three touchdowns as Tri-County South Conference champion California defeated visiting West Greene 42-0.

California (7-0, 10-0) finished off its first undefeated regular season since 1949 and made a strong statement for the top seed in next week’s Class A playoffs.

The Trojans took advantage of two West Greene fumbles in the first quarter to forge a 14-0 lead. Phillips scored from 14 yards and Cochise Ryan from eight yards.

Phillips scored again on a six-yard keeper and Zion Aldrich went in from five yards to make it 28-0 at halftime.

Phillips scored his third touchdown on an 11-yard run in the third quarter and Jelani Stafford capped the scoring with a five-yard run. Stafford led the Cal triple-option attack with 137 rushing yards on 74 carries and Phillips followed with 134 on 14 attempts.
