Freshman Michaela Burke scored a goal in the 86th minute to break a tie and send Grove City to a 2-1 victory over visiting Washington & Jefferson in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference tournament semifinals Tuesday afternoon.

The win was the 10th straight for Grove City (15-4), which advances to the finals against top-seeded Thomas More.

W&J (12-6-1), the No. 3 seed, tied the score at 1-1 on an unassisted goal by Ashton Grimm in the 40th minute. The Presidents had opportunities to take the lead but Grove City goalkeeper Trishae Winters made a season-high 10 saves. W&J had 21 shots to Grove City’s 13.
