Burgettstown sets scoring record in 63-0 victory

BURGETTSTOWN – Burgettstown remained undefeated with a 63-0 victory over Chartiers-Houston in a Class AA Century Conference game Friday night at Hill Memorial Stadium.
The 63 points set a school record for points in a game. The old record was 62, set twice, in 1931 and 2015.
Ryan Lounder rushed for 93 yards on just three carries and scored twice for Burgettstown (3-0, 4-0). Jarred John scored a TD on a fumble return and Cole Strain returned an interception 47 yards for another to spark the defense. Burgettstown led 57-0 at halftime.
The Bucs fell to 0-3 and 0-5.
