Boys soccer roundup: Woytovich nets 2 in Charleroi win
Collin Woytovich scored both goals in Charleroi’s 2-0 win over Waynesburg in a Section 3-AA match Saturday.
Caleb Carson recorded the shutout for the Cougars (5-2, 7-4). Waynesburg fell to 5-2 and 6-4.
• Monessen edged Bentworth, 4-3, in a Section 4-A match. Scoring for Bentworth were Wyatt Selvoski, Levi Jordan and Brian Hustava.
• South Fayette built a two-goal lead and ran its winning streak to five with a 3-2 victory over Mt. Lebanon in a nonsection match.
Jared Renz, Jakub Olzewski and Dylan Bollinger each scored a goal for South Fayette (6-2-2).
Mt. Lebanon is 4-6.
• Bishop Canevin edged California 2-1 in a Section 4-A match. Brendan Sheehan scored the goal for California (0-8, 1-9).
