Girls soccer roundup: Timlin scores 3 in Bentworth victory

Jocelyn Timlin had a hat trick to help Bentworth shut out Beth-Center 6-0 in a Section 2-A match Monday.
Timlin moved into third place all time with 47 goals. Paige Marshalek scored twice and is tied for fifth place with 40 career goals. Shay Rokicki also scored. Cande Kossel recorded the shutout for Bentworth (5-0-1, 6-2-1).
Beth-Center is 2-3-1 overall and in section.
• Rhea Kijowksi scored 4 goals and assisted on 3 others as Waynesburg shut out McGuffey, 9-0, in a Section 3-AA match.
Jillian Kijowski had goal and three assists and McKenzie Booth recorded her fifth shutout for Waynesburg (6-0, 9-1). Kaley Pell, Kylie Sinn, Madison Clayton and Michele Culp-Austin.
McGuffey fell to 1-5 and 2-6.
• Brenna McGuire’s goal at 33:07 of the second half was the only scoring of the match and South Fayette blanked Central Valley 1-0 in Section 4-AAA.
South Fayette is 6-1-1 in the section and 7-1-3 overall. Central Valley is in last place in the section at 0-6-1, 0-7-1.
• Courtney Dahlquist scored the only goal of the match, and goalkeeper Sarah Kuhn made 13 saves as Trinity defeated host Ringgold 1-0 in Section 3-AAA.
Dahlquist’s goal, off an assist by Julia Chakos, came after a scoreless first half and improved Trinity’s record to 2-4-1 in the section and 3-4-1 overall. The Hillers are unbeaten in their last three matches.
Ringgold also is 2-4-1, 3-4-1.
