Burgettstown rallies, wins with 4th-quarter flurry
Burgettstown erupted for 20 fourth-quarter points Friday night to earn a 20-6 victory over Seton-La Salle in a Class AA Three Rivers Conference game played at Peters Township High School.
Jake Lounder returned an interception nine yards to tie the game and scored on a 1-yard run four minutes later to give Burgettstown the lead.
Another interception set up Shane Kemper’s 3-yard scoring run, Burgettstown’s third TD in a 5-minute span of the fourth quarter.
Lounder finished with 100 yards on 24 carries.
Max Schipani threw a 49-yard TD pass to James Yanders give Seton-La Salle a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. Schipani completed 10 of 21 for 125 yards.
