Trinity drops opener at Greensburg Salem

GREENSBURG — Trent Patrick scored on two long runs and threw for a third score as Greensburg Salem ran past Trinity, 41-13, in a Class 4A Big 8 Conference game Friday night.

Patrick scored on runs of 26 and 39 yards and hit Tyler Williams with a 37-yard TD pass to open the scoring.

Greensburg Salem outscored Trinity, 27-13 in the second half. 

Marquese Lacks caught a 21-yard pass from Kaden Kolson and Michah Finley ran 19 yards for the Hillers scores. Trinity (0-1) missed two scoring opportunities in the first half from inside the GS 5-yard line.

Finley rushed for 51 yards, Peyton Thompson 49 and Kolson 35.

Patrick completed 7 of 10 passes for 130 yards and 3 TDs.
