Chartiers-Houston 13, Burgettstown 0, 5 inn.: Chartiers-Houston took advantage of eight walks and pounded nine hits in a 13-0 victory over Burgettstown in a Section 1-AA game.
Winning pitcher Destin Weiser wnet 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI for the Bucs (6-0, 8-2). Josh Colletti went 3-for-3 withh three runs and two RBI and Alex Siege and Jimmy Sadler combined to go 3-for-5 with six runs and two RBI. Weiser struck out 8.
Dante Gianfrancesco and Jake Brown had one hit each for Burgettstown (0-6, 2-8).

Softball
Ringgold 5, Belle Vernon 3: a four-run fourth propelled Ringgold to a 5-3 victory over Belle Vernon in a Section 2 game in Class 4A.
Nya Adams and and Jolly Arbes each knocked in two runs for Ringgold (5-3, 5-4). Ashlee Selembo tripled.
Jordan French had three hits and two RBI for Belle Vernon (3-5, 5-9). Natalie French and Sophie Godzak each had two hits.
Burgettstown 6, OLSH 5: Hayden Abbott singled home Madison Kozares with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Burgettstown a 6-5 victory over OLSH in a Section 1-AA game.
Kozares made it to second base on an error before Abbott lashed a hit to right field.
Aubrey Krivak hurt OLSH with her bat and arm. She picked up the win, striking out 14 and cracked a three-run home run in the second foor Burgettstown (5-3, 6-7). Bri Krynak and Madeyson Monaghan each hit a double.
Madison Clystelk hit a two-run home run for OLSH (4-3, 4-5).
Mapletown 12, Monessen 5: It wasn’t the cleanest played game but Mapletown downed Monessen 12-5 in a Section 2-A game.
Each team committed nine errors.
Macee Cree shut out Monessen for the final four innings and struck out five for the Maples (4-1, 7-1). Mekenzie Reda tripled and drove in two runs. Hannah Dusenberry doubled.
Losing pitcher Hannah Yorty struck out 10 and hit a double. Madison Telegraphis also doubled.
