Bay County back for Pony Series

Bay County, Mich., will be making it seventh consecutive trip to the Pony League World Series.

Bay County won the North Zone championship.

Also making return trips to the series, which gets underway Friday at Lew Hays Pony Field in Washington Park, are Brownsville, Texas, the South Zone champion; Chinese Taipei, the Asia-Pacific Zone champion; Youngstown, Ohio, the winners of the Host Area tournament; and Washington County, the host team.

Other teams earning a spot in the series are Hagerstown, Md., the East Zone champion; Simi Valley, Calif., champions of the West Zone; Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean Zone champion; London, the European champion; and Guasave, the Mexico Zone champion.
