Greene gets Mapletown off to fast start

MAPLETOWN — Zach Greene scored two early touchdowns and Mapletown’s defense held Avella to one score in a 29-6 victory in a Week Zero game.

Greene scored on runs of 25 and 65 yards for the Maples, who also got two touchdowns from Landon Stevenson on runs of 2 and 1 yards. Greene finished with 101 yards on 6 carries.

Avella’s Brandon Samol caught a 15-yard TD pass from Derek Taroli.
