Chatham nips W&J on Sandherr’s shot

Will Sandherr’s jump shot with 10 seconds to play gave Chatham a 55-54 victory over Washington & Jefferson in a PAC Tournament game.

A jumper by Nick Campalong with one second to play missed the mark for the Presidents.

W&J (10-15) took a 54-51 lead on Zach Queen’s three-point field goal. But Sandherr made two free throws to cut the lead to one with 25 seconds to play.

Sandherr finished with 13 points for Chatham (16-9) and Marc Wells had 16. Isaiah Wells chipped in with 13.

Cam Seemann led W&J with 10 points.

Westminster 95, Waynesburg 68: Five players scored in double figures to help Westminster rout Waynesburg, 95-68, in a PAC Tournament game.

A.J. Grant led the way with 20 points for the Titans (11-14), who bolted to a 50-27 lead at halftime.

Aaron Iler scored 16 points and Anthony Ritter and Lloyd Chatman each tossed in 14 points, and Austin Armwood chipped in with 10.

Jake Dougherty led the Yellow Jackets (8-17) with 14 points, Frank Bozicevic added 12, Nate Gearhart 11 and Matt Popeck 10.
