Wild Things lose lead, game

Southern Illinois scored one run in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to rally for a 3-2 victory over the Washington Wild Things in a Frontier League game Tuesday night.

Marty Anderson struck out nine in 7 2/3 innings for Southern Illinois. Bryant Flete knocked in two of the runs and Gianfranco Wawoe had the other.

Cameron Baranek gave Washington an early lead with an RBI double in the second. He accounted for the other run with a home run in the top of the ninth.
