Wild Things win again, blank T-Bolts

CRESTWOOD, Ill. – Nick Wegmann and three relievers combined on a three-hit shutout and Cameron Baranek smacked a three-run homer as the surging Wild Things blanked the Windy City ThunderBolts 7-0 Saturday night.
Washington has won three in a row and six of its last seven games. Windy City has lost five in a row.
Wegmann (3-3) allowed three hits over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out eight.
Baranek hit his third home run of the season in Washington’s four-run sixth inning that broke open a close game and gave the Wild Things a 6-0 lead. Baranek had four RBI.
Blake Adams and Cody Erickson each had two hits including a double. Ryan Cox also doubled.
