Ramsey, California grab win

CALIFORNIA — Malik Ramsey caught three touchdown passes from Cochise Ryan to help California down Avella, 48-0, Friday night in a Class A Tri-County South Conference game.

The two connected from 37, 37 and 16 yards for the Trojans (2-0, 3-0). Ryan also ran one in from 54 yards. Lucas Qualk scored on a 12-yard run and caught a 27-yarder for Ryan’s fourth TD.

Avella fell to 0-1 and 1-2.
