Seton LaSalle stops Fort Cherry in defensive struggle

McDONALD — Seton LaSalle made two second quarters stand for a 14-0 victory over Fort Cherry in a Class 2A Three Rivers Conference game.

Gabe Finale opened the scoring with a 2-yard run for the Rebels (1-3, 1-4). Fort Cherry was about to answer when Alex Shanessy returned an interception 82 yards for a touchdown and a 14-0 lead.

Fort Cherry (0-5, 0-6) rushed for 17 yards on 21 carries and had 16 total yards. Dylan Rogers made 13 tackles.
