UNIONTOWN — Joe Chambers passed for 187 yards and a touchdown as Laurel Highlands held off Ringgold 16-12 in a Class 4A Big Eight Conference game Friday night.

Rodney Gallagher caught six passes for 104 yards and ran for one touchdown for Laurel Highlands (1-0, 1-1), which was shut out in its season opener last week by Albert Gallatin.

LH led 16-0 with less than 11 minutes remaining but was able to hold off the Rams.

Landon Oslowski rushed for 100 yards for Ringgold and Brayden Fine scored on a 27-yard run on a reverse.
