PLEASANT HILLS — Undefeated Thomas Jefferson scored 35 first-half points and went on to a 49-7 win over visiting Trinity in the Big Eight Conference opener for both teams Friday night.

Caden Bazzoli ran for three touchdowns, covering 60, eight and 43 yards, helping the Jaguars improve to 1-0 in the conference and 3-0 overall.

The only touchdown for Trinity (10-1, 1-3) came in the second quarter when Hunter Strickland capped a drive with a one-yard plunge that cut TJ’s lead to 2-17.
