Lutz powers South Fayette to victory

McDONALD — Landon Lutz threw for two touchdowns and Nate Deanes rushed for 105 yards and scored a touchdown in South Fayette’s 35-7 victory over Latrobe in a nonconference game Friday night.

The win moves South Fayete to  5-1 and Latrobe to 2-3.

Lutz hit Connor Harcarik with an 11-yard TD strike and Ryan Kovatch with a 26-yard strike in the second quarter.

Harcarik caught five passes for 53 yards and Kovatch caught three for 50. Logan Yater caught four for 33 yards.
