The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission might simplify the dates on boat registration stickers.

The agency’s boating advisory board voted to recommend changing expiration dates on boat decals, from March 31 to Dec. 31. That recommendation will go to the commission’s board for approval.

The stickers display a large two-digit number that indicates what year it’s valid. However, at the bottom of the sticker in small print, it reads that the registration expires March 31 of that year.
