Fink leads Cal women past Bowie State
CALIFORNIA — Rajah Fink had game-highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds, powering the California women’s basketball team to a 78-62 win over Bowie State at the Convocation Center on Friday.
Fink, a transfer from IUP, scored 16 of points in the first half when Cal (2-1) forged a commanding 47-20 lead.
Point guard Ciaira Loyd had another big game for the Vulcans, scoring 21 points to go with five steals.
Halle Herrington also scored in double figures with 12 points.
Fink, Loyd and Herrington combined to make 21 free throws. The Vulcans held a big edge the line, making 25 of 38 foul shots compared to 18-for-31 for Bowie State.
Anii Harris led three Bowie State players in double figures with 14 points.
