The Wild Things’ cut the deficit to 3-2 in the third after Nick Gotta doubled to right and scored on Novoa’s RBI single.

Washington regained the lead in the fourth on Czech’s blast that scored Lagrange, who had singled up the middle to lead off the frame.

The Wild Things extended their advantage to 5-3 in the sixth on Lagrange’s homer to left center.

The Capitales tied the game with homers from Kyle Crowl in the sixth and Marc-Antoine Lebreux in the seventh.
