Big 3rd quarter sparks Imani Christian over Waynesburg
WILKINSBURG — Imani Christian, after leading by only 10 at halftime, scored 30 points in the third quarter and went on to a 52-14 victory over Waynebsurg in a WPIAL Class 2A first-round playoff game Friday night at UPMC Graham Field.
Waynesburg’s touchdowns came on a three-yard pass from Jacob Stephenson to Zach Jiblits in the second quarter and an 18-yard Stephenson pass to Colby Pauley in the fourth quarter.
The Raiders intercepted three Imani Christian passes in the first quarter, each coming in Waynesburg’s end of the field.
Stephenson completed 10 of 25 passes for 146 yards. The Raiders were held to 37 rushing yards.
