Girl soccer: Carroto’s 100th helps net section title for Charleroi

Charleroi won the Class A Section 2 outright title by defeating visiting South Allegheny 2-0 Thursday night.

Bella Carroto and McKenna DeUnger, the two leading scorers for the Cougars (10-1, 13-1) all season, each had a goal in the first half. For Carroto, it was her 100th career goal.

Goalkeeper Addison Conrad made five saves for the shutout.
