Woods scores 3 TDs in Waynesburg victory
WAYNESBURG — Breydon Woods ran for three touchdowns in Waynesburg’s 38-6 victory over Uniontown on Friday in non-conference play.
Jake Stephenson threw his first of two touchdown passes at 9:48 of the first quarter, as Chase Fox pulled in a 13-yard reception for a 6-0 lead.
Jack Ricciuti caught a 13-yard reception from Stephenson in the end zone for a 13-0 advantage after Dalton Taylor made the first of three PATs.
Woods’ 29-yard run extended Waynesburg’s advantage to 20-0 with three seconds left in the first quarter.
After a scoreless second quarter, Woods raced 71 yards into the end zone with 1:45 left in the third. Colby Pauley caught the two-point reception from Stephenson.
Woods capped the scoring for Waynesburg (2-2, 6-2) on an 18-yard run with 8:59 left in the fourth quarter.
Uniontown’s K’Adrian McLee got his team on the scoreboard after pulling in a 58-yard reception from Cam Jackson on a halfback option with 6:21 remaining.
