Bethel Park keeps title hopes alive, beats South Fayette

BETHEL PARK — Tanner Pfeuffer passed for three touchdowns and ran for two others, leading Bethel Park to a 49-29 victory over South Fayette in the Class 5A Allegheny Six Conference on Friday night.

The win gives Bethel Park a 3-1 record in the conference and a 3-5 mark overall. The Black Hawks can win the conference title next week with if they defeat Peters Township.

Pfeuffer threw TD passes of 24 yards to Jovian Smith, 66 yards to Jack Buckner and 60 yards to Ryan Petras. The QB’s TD runs covered two and one yards.

Moore rushed for 189 yards on 34 carries and Petras added 119 yards on 12 attempts.

South Fayette quarterback Nico Lamonde completed 26 of 36 passes for 446 yards and three touchdowns. The TDs were 35 and 51 yards to Mike Gimigliano and 15 yards to Sylas Aitken.

South Fayette is 1-3 in the conference and 4-5 overall.
