W&J falters at finish, falls to Muskingum

NEW CONCORD, Ohio — Muskingum ended the game on a 14-0 run, covering the final three minutes, to rally and defeat Washington & Jefferson 82-75 Wednesday night in a non-conference game on the Muskies’ home court.

W&J (2-9) led 75-68 when Muskingum (3-5) mounted its comeback that sent the Presidents to their seventh consecutive loss.

Duane Davis led Muskingum with 20 points.

Alex Acosta again led W&J in scoring with 18 points. Brandon Jakiela came off the bench to score 12 points, Matthew Carte had 11 and J.R. Mazza tossed in 10.
