Small college basketball: Hall sparks Vulcans to win at Clarion

Jermaine Hall had 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, leading California to a 93-80 win at Clarion in a PSAC West men’s game Wednesday night.
California (8-2, 14-2), which bounced back from a loss at Slippery Rock over the weekend, forged a 20-point lead in the first half.
The Vulcans put five players in double figures. Zyan Collins and K.J. McClurg each tossed in 18 points, Bryson Lucas scored 11 of his 13 points early in the first half and Antoine Arnett came off the bench to score 11. Collins contributed eight rebounds and eight assists.
Waynesburg 74, Westminster 71
Jaylen Davis had 21 points and 17 rebounds, Antone Baker added 20 points and Waynesburg pulled out a 74-71 win over Westminster in a Presidents Athletic Conference game at Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.
Baker made a jump shot with 14 seconds remaining that gave Waynesburg a 72-71 lead.
Jordan McLoyd added 15 points for Waynesburg (5-6, 8-8), which avenged an earlier one-point loss to Westminster (5-7, 7-9).
Women’s results
California 66, Clarion 62
Dejah Terrell scored four of her game-high 23 points in overtime as California outlasted host Clarion 66-62 in a PSAC West game.
Terrell made two free throws early in overtime that gave the Vulcans (7-3, 12-4) the lead for good at 61-59. She finished with a double-double that included 10 rebounds before fouling out late in the overtime. Terrell also blocked five shots.
Allycia Harris was the only other Cal player to score in double figures. She had 10 points. Nina Shaw scored three of her nine points in the OT.
Malayziah Etheredge led Clarion with 18 points.
Westminster 74, Waynesburg 49
Westminster, with 12 players in the scoring column, rolled to a 74-49 win at Waynesburg in a PAC game.
Grace Cano led the balanced scoring attack for Westminster with 11 points. Natalie Murrio had 10.
Westminster (8-4, 10-6) led 34-23 at halftime and then pulled away with a 27-13 edge in the third quarter.
Waynesburg (2-9, 3-12), one game after making 14 three-pointers in a win over Thiel, was 3-for-16 from behind the stripe.
Julz Morbacher had a big game for the Yellow Jackets with game highs of 18 points and 11 rebounds.
