Washington Rebels place 2nd in Blazing Hot Summer Classic

The Washington Rebels lost in the championship game of the Blazing Hot Summer Classic tournament Sunday night in Bridgeport, W.Va.

The host Patriots American Legion Post 68 earned a 7-5 victory over the Rebels in the final.

Washington advanced to the final with a 13-1 win over US Elite PA West.

Bentworth’s Lucas Burt allowed two hits and struck out six in the semifinal victory. He also doubled. Bearcat teammate Same Wade tripled and Bentworth’s John Scott had two hits in the semifinal game.

Chartiers-Houston’s Jake Perchinsky had two RBI.

Trinity’s Dylan Falvo doubled and drove in two runs, while Wade had two hits in the championship game.

Burgettstown’s Eric Kovach took the loss in the final.
