The Wild Things announced Wednesday the signing of righthanded pitcher Jordan DiValerio, a Pennsylvania native and former Boston Red Sox minor leaguer.

DiValerio comes to Washington after three seasons in the Red Sox farm system, pitching in 91 games at the Class A level, amassing an 18-10 record with a 5.52 ERA. He had 208 strikeouts and only 47 walks. Last year, with Boston’s Greenville affiliate, DiValerio had a 5-6 record, 5.08 ERA and 68 strikeouts with only 18 walks in 72.2 innings.

DiValerio was signed by Boston as an undrafted free agent out of St. Joseph’s University in 2020.

A native of Nescopeck, DiValerio played high school ball at Berwick.
