WAYNESBURG – Greene County maintenance manager Jerome Simkovic has announced a tentative work plan for the week beginning Monday.All maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. Motorists are urged to drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.Crews will be conducting the following activities:n Seal coating on state Routes 19 (Mount Morris), 2011 (Garards Fort), 2022 (Muddy Creek), 2017 (Carmichaels), 2029 (Hunting Hills) and 2014 (Stony Hill/Old Dairy), in Franklin, Whiteley, Cumberland and Monongahela townships;n Bridge maintenance on Route 2013 (Jensen Hollow) Jefferson Township;n Sweeping and mowing will be performed on various routes countywide;n Patching/milling on Route 218 (Smith Creek) in Franklin Township and 2012 (Bobtown Hill) in Dunkard Township;n Patching/milling on Route 2012 (Bobtown Road) in Dunkard Township, Route 2010 (Mapletown Road) in Monongahela Township, and Route 88 (Eighty Eight Road) in Dunkard and Monongahela townships;n Slide repair Route 4001 (Dodds Ridge) in Richhill Township;n Litter pickup starting at Route 18 and 21, Golden Oaks Park (Roy E. Furman Highway) and proceed north on Route 21 through villages/areas of Rutan, Graysville, Wind Ridge, Ryerson Station to the West Virginia boarder. If these areas should be completed early, SCI-Greene personnel should work on Route 3001, south from Route 21 toward Smith Bridge, Aleppo and Nettle Hill area;n Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and complaints will be addressed on various state routes throughout Greene County.The department’s 24-hour toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern is 800-FIX ROAD (800-349-7623).
