Local man arrested for allegedly trying to seduce children

A Cecil Township man was arrested by police in Ohio July 24 after he allegedly drove to Columbus in an attempt to have sex with children, according to television station WBNS-10TV.
Investigators said Matthew Patnesky, 24, started an online chat in late June with the screen name “downforanything,” the news station reported.
Patnesky believed he was chatting with a mother of three children – ages 5, 8 and 12 – who was willing to offer them for sex, but he was actually talking with detectives.
According to the news station, Patnesky sent investigators 56 images of child pornography, talked about engaging in fetish activity with the children and began to communicate with whom he thought was the 12-year-old girl “so it wouldn’t be awkward if he visited.”
He was arrested in Westerville, Ohio, and is in an Ohio prison, where he faces felony charges including attempted rape.
